“Alive” by Adelitas Way

A lot of modern hard rock all sounds the same to me, but I’ve come across a few tracks that stand out from the crowd of monotony. “Alive” by the Las Vegas band Adelitas Way is one of them.

“Alive” a memorable song as is, but kudos to the band for making a video that puts a new twist on the lyrics I wasn’t expecting.

“Home School Valedictorian” was released in 2011 and went to #66 on the Billboard 200. “Alive” was the fourth single released from this record, following “Sick”, “The Collapse”, and “Criticize”.
While the other singles released from this record don’t resonate with me, some deeper tracks like “Good Enough” and “Somebody Wishes They Were You” are worth a listen. Check out Adelitas Way if you like Three Days Grace and Seether.

If you are curious about the band’s name, check out this interview with the lead singer Rick DeJesus.
